Citadel Women's Club Yard Sale around the corner

It's one of the area's best yard sales ever - The Citadel Women's Club will hold its annual Stadium Sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 27 at the Altman Center. The Altman Center is located in the end zone at Johnson Hagood Stadium on Hagood Avenue at Fishburne Street.

Employee Sneak Preview
Citadel employees can get a sneak preview of the Stadium Sale offerings from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 26. Employees only, please. No guests are permitted.

Need cleaning supplies but don't like the supermarket prices? The Stadium Sale has everything from spray starch and window cleaner to bleach and body wash.

Is your iron on the fritz? In all likelihood the Stadium Sale has many gently used ones to choose from.

Just as in year's past, the 2006 yard sale will also feature cadet uniform items, clothing, shoes, books, appliances, electronics, computer hardware, lamps, furniture, sports equipment, school supplies, linens, video tapes, CDs, office supplies, lectric fans, holiday decorations, kitchen wares, and objects d' art, luggage, tools, toys, board games and bicycles.

Every year people line up early for the sale, but no early birds please. Proceeds from the Stadium Sale go to scholarships for Citadel cadets.

The Annual Stadium Sale was started 11 years ago when it was noticed that cadets discarded many useable items at the end of each academic year.
