Dollars Days for Hurricane Relief under way

Beginning Monday, Citadel MECEPS will launch "Dollar Days for Hurricane Relief" on campus.

The premise is this: If each of the 3,600 cadets, faculty, staff and grad students donates $1 to relief efforts, The Citadel family can play a vital part in helping victims of Hurricane Katrina.

MECEPS will be at various sites and functions over the next few weeks asking for $1 donations, but any amount will be appreciated. All the money collected will go directly to hurricane relief efforts coordinated by the American Red Cross. Look for the Red Cross banner and the MECEPS in uniform at the collection sites.

Here's a list of places to donate:
Monday, 19 Sept. -- Noon mess, Coward Mess Hall.
Tuesday, 20 Sept. -- All day at the Red Cross Blood Drive, Mark Clark Hall Auditorium.
Friday, 23 Sept. -- During the military dress parade. Tell your friends and family.
Saturday, 24 Sept.-- At The Citadel vs. Ap State football game.
Wednesday, Oct. 5 -- Faculty/Staff Luncheon.

More dates and locations will be announced later.
