1987 Grad killed in Iraq

Arsenio Domingo, class of 1987, was killed in Iraq Saturday night when the Black Hawk helicopter he was traveling in crashed. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Domingo, 40, was on a one-year leave of absence from the Charleston police department where he worked as a law enforcement officer since 1991. He was a medical officer in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves. In Iraq, he was working for DynCorp International, a defense contract company, as an international police liaison officer, training Iraqi police.

A psychology major, Domingo was a member of Romeo Company. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Domingo.

Funeral Arrangements

Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17 in Summerall Chapel. Burial will be private. J. Henry Stuhr Funeral Home, Greenridge Road Chapel is in charge.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Lyne Pegarido Domingo; his parents; brother, Valintinus (Val) Ducusin Domingo; and his paternal grandmother, Leona Ponce Domingo.
