Part One: First Meeting – Approximately 30 to 45 minutes

  • All CADIC patrons have the right to privacy and confidentiality; any information provided, shared or discussed is protected information.
  • The purpose of Part One is to gather information on your particular style of drinking. During this meeting, you will complete a questionnaire about health, wellness, and alcohol and other drug use.
  • You can schedule your initial appointment quickly and easily by accessing The CADIC Online Scheduler. Once you access the online scheduler, you can view all available appointment times and select the one most convenient to your needs.
  • If you have problems scheduling your appointment online—or if you are not available during the times provided, you will need to contact the Director of CADIC in person (Mark Clark Hall, 227), by phone (843-953-0150), or by email (kmodlgin@citadel.edu).
  • You can schedule your appointment for Part One by using the CADIC Online Scheduler.
  • To schedule your appointment for Part One via email click (HERE) and request a meeting time most convenient to your needs.

Part Two: Second Meeting – Approximately 45 to 50 minutes

  • All CADIC patrons have the right to privacy and confidentiality; any information provided, shared or discussed is protected information. (Client Rights)
  • You will schedule Part Two upon completion of Part One. This is done in the office.
  • During Part Two, you will review and discuss the results of the survey completed during Part One.
  • The purpose of Part Two is to provide personalized feedback about your style of drinking.
  • The information provided during Part Two is educational in nature; it is designed to encourage self-reflection about how you drink and what changes, if any, you to want to make to your style of drinking. There is no labeling, judgment, assumptions, hidden agenda or pressure to change.
  • Part of the discussion may focus on other ways to drink that will allow you to enjoy your drinking experience while minimizing unwanted effects or harmful consequences. This is called a “low-risk drinking style.”

Part Three: Online Follow-up – Approximately 5-minutes

  • All CADIC patrons have the right to privacy and confidentiality; any information provided, shared or discussed is protected information. (Client Rights)
  • Part Three is a brief, 5-minute survey that can be completed online.
  • The purpose of the survey is to collect follow-up information about your style of drinking and to evaluate your CADIC experience.
  • A link to the survey will be sent to your official Citadel email approximately three-to-five weeks after completing Part Two.
  • Once you receive the survey, you will have seven days to complete it.
  • The Director of CADIC is the only person with access to the survey and the results. As with other information provided during your CADIC visits, your responses to the survey will be kept private and confidential. (Client Rights)
