Movie Night

Freshman Movie Night
Cadet clubs and organizations may sign up to host a movie night for freshmen to take place on a Wednesday night during the academic year. A list of interested groups is compiled, and a drawing is done to assign dates to clubs who are drawn.  Groups that are not selected will be placed on a waiting list in the event that a night opens up during course of the year. The drawing will take place on August 26 and all interested clubs will be informed of good or bad news as soon as possible.
In order to host a movie night, organizations must have all of their paperwork in progress up to October 1, or completed by October 1. Guidelines and information on chartering a club can be found on this page.
A fundraising form must be filled out for movie nights or any other fundraising activity that a club participates in. That form can be picked up in the Cadet Activities Office in Mark Clark Hall. The form must be properly completed and ultimately turned in to the Commandant’s Department.
There is no admission cost for watching the movie. Fundraising is accomplished by selling pizza to the attendees. Sgt Greene in the Commandant’s Department is most helpful in being able to order pizzas at a discounted cost. Clubs do not have to pay for the pizza up front, but instead are able to pay him for the pizza and a tip for the driver the following day. Sgt Greene should be contacted no later than Monday of the week you are hosting a movie night to discuss the appropriate order. Clubs are not required to work with Sgt Greene.
Aramark is to be notified if you are hosting a movie night, as it will typically mean fewer knobs will attend Wednesday night mess. Aramark representatives will initial the fundraising form and are typically able to assist clubs with cookies and punch to be served during the movie. Please express your appreciation for all Aramark assistance.
A club rep is to meet with Mr. Dukes in Cadet Activities prior to your Wednesday in order to go over computer/projector setup, the auditorium sound system, and cleanup responsibilities. 
Movies should begin by 1730 to allow time for longer films to complete before knobs have to return to the barracks. Club members are to do any required cleaning and shutdown of all equipment.
