Advising
Advising
Undergraduate cadets meet with their individual faculty advisers at the beginning and middle of each semester (and at other times as needed) to plan schedules, discuss goals, and monitor academic progress. Graduate students are advised by the Director of Graduate Studies in their major programs. Faculty advisers balance their teaching and research with advising. Generally, they set specific hours during which they are available for advising. These hours increase during pre-registration periods and at the beginning of each semester. Students should know how to contact their advisers as well as where the adviser's office is located. This information is available on the homepage of the adviser's department.
