Southeastern Immigration Studies Associationseisa

Southeastern Immigration Studies Association [SEISA] is an organization that has its roots in previous conferences, sponsored by several colleges, on Immigration to the U.S. South. The last conference was held at the University of South Carolina in 2016. We have decided to revive the great work this conference undertook and create an organization, which specifically examines the issues of immigration in the American Southeast.

SEISA, this newly formed organization, seeks to bring academics, community immigration advocates, and activists together in dialogue and common purpose. Though this work is specifically centered around immigration in the American Southeast, it is not limited to this geographic region.
Scholars and activists across the nation and world are invited and welcomed to join SEISA. The organization is also open to those from all academic disciplines that relate to both current and historical immigration.
